Brandy is a fancy jewelry set released by Pure Poison for this round of L’Accessoires. You have to admit it, the set is quite spectacular. Plus, it comes in several color options, so you can use it to create a stunning look.

The brand owner decided to have a contest for the blogger group, which I am proudly part of, and when I hear about a photo contest I just have to jump in, whether I have chance to win or not.

It was also the perfect opportunity to blog this gown by Aliza Karu, which, like most of her outfits, is a piece of art in itself. I am always amazed how this designer can mix mesh and flexi and make amazing textures for her creations. The downside is, as usual, the dress comes in one size only, but then again, as usual, it just fits my shape.

Now this outfit can only make one want to take the most amazing photo ever. While I am not the best photographer in SL, I did my best. I hope you like the outcome!

In other news, my new job seems pretty cool so far, though apparently it leaves me less time for SL (again, so far). And I hope it gets even better once I get used to my new tasks and co-workers.

Midsummer

Ok, I’m a bit ahead of the times with that headline, but I kind of wish it was midsummer. I hope that by that time I am all settled with my new job, my new schedule and everything.

Meanwhile, I am neglecting my Second Life, so my avatar spends days and days wearing the same outfit. Take this look: I put the skin (YS&YS group gift), hair (latest release by Exile), necklace (Pure Poison) and shoes (Arcade goodie) on Moniq almost one week ago, then changed the dress after the ColdLogic release, some time this week, and I finally got to take a photo and edit it a couple of hours ago.

I’m sure you have already seen these items for days on all the feeds. But I hope you will see my outfit as a new take on them and like it. I, for one, liked it enough to keep everything on, although the SL fashion scene is the illustration of the RL consumption-based economy on fast-forward. But sometimes it’s just good to take a deep breath and rest a bit

And before we go to the credits, there’s something I need to mention. Status Poses rebranded to Pretense and came back inworld with a new mainstore. I know that poses are sometimes forgotten or only get a mention here and there, while we brag about our outfits or skins or hair. But imagine a SL photo without a pose. Can you? No? I thought so!

All alone with my suitcase in an empty town and with a Stop sign in my face. What is there to do? Why did I spend so much time dressing up, when there’s no one to greet me here?

Well, because there’s so much cool stuff to show you, right?

In my previous post, I mentioned FaMESHed and Arcade, so now it’s time to see some of the items available at these events. Plus new hair by Exile and a bit of hunting.

I am in love with these pumps released by LaRoo for FaMESHed. They come in 10 solid colors and four floral versions. I went for Violet for this post, a rather unusual choice for me, when there’s green around , but I wanted to match these shorts (available at Klepsydra as a gift in the Tropical Isle Hunt).

The Pink Fuel skin is available at the Arcade (yay for gachas), as well as the click. pose & prop. I love these suitcase poses and by the end of the gacha event, I will definitely have them all. If only I could get in there!

Last, but not least, this hair by Exile makes me happy. I mean really happy, not only pixel happy. Because this is my hair when I cut it shorter. It’s such an easy to wear and comfy style and I really want a haircut for RL now!

That’s true. After a (much too long, if you ask me) break from blogging, I feel sort of confused to take photos and post them here and everything. And it’s only been like a week!

I probably feel like this because all my focus was on RL. Things are changing, for the better I hope, and maybe I’ll even have more time for SL at some point.

While I was IRL, things happened. La Petite Morte reopened the mainstore, Numberology started, Tutti Frutti released new stuff. And DCNY is having a sale.

And of course, FaMESHed and the Arcade launched today, but I’ll cover those in another post(s).

Just a quick look today, because I’m too busy for long stories. So here’s the point: DCNY has these amazing top & skirt combos at Zodiac, ColdLogic released swimwear that’s a must have and Izzie’s has a gorgeous skin at the Dressing Room Blue. And, of course, the latest releases of Exile hair, totally worth trying on.

Last, but not least”: Je Suis moved to a new location and has a 50% off sale for a limited time. There must be something at the store that you wanted to buy or gift, but didn’t have the chance to. Not it’s the time to do it!

I love this new pose set by La Petite Morte. It has both sitting and standing poses and a guitar prop for each pose. It makes me think of a beach concert or a mountain camping trip with friends, booze and singing till dawn. Also, it is available at the Soho Sample Sale for an affordable price.

This hairstyle by Truth seems made for these poses. I love the long braid and the bangs and, as I said before, I love the new hair textures.

I added a top by Auxiliary, currently available as group gift, and a pair of high-waist pants by Amarelo Manga, to build a modern hippie look. The necklace is also a group gift, by Pure Poison, and it was the final touch needed for this outfit.

The skin is a new release by Aeva, Rosie, and it has a beautiful face, like all Aeva skins, plus a ton of options, such as mesh feet, appliers for mesh breasts, lashes, teeth. cleavage, freckles and so on.

After a few hectic work days and a busy, but wonderful weekend, I’m back to show you the look that I made on Friday. And using a Fifty Linden Friday item. So please don’t hate me for that!

On another note, when I went to my Flickr to get the photos for this post I was a bit scared of how it looks now, and how slow it is on this computer. But then again, free storage and all your old photos visible, even for non-pro users… makes me hate it less. What do you think about the new Flickr?

So… new cool photo contest in SL. How could I not join in? Of course, I think my chances to win are zero, because I saw so many amazing photos in the contest Flickr group. But I love the challenge, and I love this new Truth hair even more, so why not?
