From time to time, I like do dress-up. In both lives. A gown, an updo, jewelry and stuff. But in both lives, I religiously avoid events that require gowns. I like to be comfortable first of all!

With SL it’s easier, I can wear whatever I want for my photos. I can wear this beautiful dress with lace on the corsage, these outrageously sexy heels, this lovely hairstyle that I’d never be able to create in RL.

The dress is part of Amarelo Manga’s Red Carpet collection. I love the deep back cleavage and the lace detail, though I had to make my shape thinner in order to wear it without the body coming through the lace part.

This hairstyle is adorable and whenever I have some free time, I stalk the lucky boards at Love Soul to get it in as much colors as I can.

The skin on Moniq is PXL’s Sophia, which looks so great on Moniq’s face that I have a hard time taking it off.

Black and white

What is the classiest, classical, timeless color combo? To me, that’s black and white. I could always pull off a B&W outfit and be suited for any event.

And when stripes are involved, I am even happier. So when I saw this new Fleshtone skirt, for  SoHo Sample Sale, I needed to build an outfit around it. I used a sweater by The Secret Store, a new release as cute as everything in that store, and some B&W accessories from my inventory.

Last call for Culture Shock

One of my favorite annual events, Culture Shock, ends tomorrow. Maybe it’s time to drop by, for a last minute shopping spree? Maybe you didn’t get to see the items of designers who, due to RL issues, updated their booths after the event started. Ok, I’m done talking, just go there and check for yourselves!

Fashionably Blue

I’m quite in love with this little blue dress by Sweet Antidote, maybe because lately I’m much more careful at texture, and this one is so well textured. There’s also a red version, if you want to get in the VDay mood. Also, check out this new hair by Exile, called Girls of Summer (oh, I wish it was summer!). Also, you need this skin, it’s the Valentine’s day gift by Mons!

Vintage Fair: the Twiggy

Did you crash a zillion times while trying to get to your favorite store at the Vintage Fair? Did you make countless attempts to move away from the landing point, where you landed above dozens of avatars that were trying to do the same? Well, that means that everyody loves a bit of vintage in their lives! I hear the lag is calming down, so you can actually walk around and discover new shops and enjoy the view and spend your money on retro clothes, accessories, skins, furniture or whatever else suits you. My victory was this gorgeous Shag hair. And it was totally worth spending hours of my time to be there and get it!

It comes in two versions, one called Hello and the other one Goodbye. It made me think of Twiggy so I made a look that comes close to the first photo I ever saw of the most famous model of the 60s.

Beauty. That’s all.

That’s a definition by Dictionary.com. And it applies to me today That is, if fascination with one’s avatar is what those guys had in mind when they wrote that.

In the past two years, my constant activity in SL was to make my avatar look pretty and wear pretty clothes and play pretty poses. After all this time, there are days when I’m still amazed of how beautiful she can be. Of course, other than tweaking the shape a bit and choosing a certain item over another, I don’t have nothing to do with she being pretty. Cause the creativity of SL designers it’s what makes it possible. And today was one of those WOW! days. Let me show you why!

A little bit of green couldn’t hurt anyone, could it? I missed green a lot, so when I saw those new Baby Monkey boots, I had to make a green post. I’ve been digging for an hour or so in my inventory to find matching stuff for them (yeap, that means I’m broke) and I made a look that I really love. Of course those Tutti Frutti jeans were a big help because white-black-green is probably my favorite color combo.

After several posts of fall collections showcase, we’re going back to the beach. The thing is, I need sunshine to survive. And with these cold, rainy days, I”m looking for sunshine in SL.

Also, I needed to show you this new skin by Natural Beauty in a summer light. Anya is so beautiful and looks so young, like a school girl on vacation :p
