One of my favorite annual events, Culture Shock, ends tomorrow. Maybe it’s time to drop by, for a last minute shopping spree? Maybe you didn’t get to see the items of designers who, due to RL issues, updated their booths after the event started. Ok, I’m done talking, just go there and check for yourselves!
Today’s look was made to compliment these hot-hot-hot shoes by Vershe that are available as a hunt prize in the store. I found out about them while browsing the Riviera Chic blog (great photos, you should check it too, by the way) and I needed to have them. And then find the best outfit & poses for them.
After several hours of not this/ maybe this one/ wrong color/ let’s try the nest 100 poses, here’s what I came up with:
With summer almost here (yeah, right, you couldn’t tell that in this rainy, cold day) I wanted Moniq to take a walk in the countryside. She put on some comfy clothes: Boom baggy Tee, Coldlogic capris and S@abbia boots (snatched from the Lucky Board). A little black bag, also by S@bbia, was included in the casual outfit.
I’ve been waking around the Leverocci store several times, wishing I could afford those hot over-knee boots. Finally the time for them to enter my inventory came. So here’s Moniq, taking a walk around town, in her amazing boots. I added a black mesh dress by Sn@tch, available at Culture Shock, and a Je Suis bag also released for the event.
This lady is wearing a lovely frilly top by Jack Spoon, available at Culture Shock, and mesh pants by Echo, also available at the event. The Cherie hair by Shag is a CS item that I already blogged, but it’s so hard to take it off, so I thought it wouldn’t hurt to show it again. Continue reading
Hey, where’s my inspiration for headlines? :D However, I have something better than a witty title here: I’m going to show you the latest group gift by Belleza, a version of the Lily V2 skin that is to be released today.
Also, I want you to take a look at this Leverocci number, one of the brand’s charity items for Culture Shock. And last but not least, you need this Exile hair available at the Dressing Room Blue!
Two things that you need: a visit to the new Neva River sim, which is quite amazing, and this stunning Ezura Xue dress available at Culture Shock (it also includes a shorter version).
The skin on Moniq is a new release by Adore & Abhor for the event, but you’ll find out more about it in my next post. Also, the oOo Studio pose is available at the event.
I am feeling kind of hippie today, so I took Moniq to virtual Texas to play guitar in the sunset.
The retro-style pants with flower print is a new release by Tutti Frutti for Culture Shock. I added a green peace top by ColdLogic, a pencil necklace that is offered as gift by Apple May Designs at Culture Shock and Elikatira flats.
That is the name of a prop prepared by Status Poses for Culture Shock. I’m a fan of props and poses in SL, because they make a blogger’s life so much easier, so they deserve as much credit as any other creator in SL.
What I like about Status is that their props and poses are always fun to play with and Scaffolding is no exception. It has 10 built-in poses and an easy feature to adjust the avatar (yes, it was easy once I realized I had to access the admin menu, but I’m a bit slow on these things, I must admit).
Another store name that needs to be mentioned here is Echo. Lovely items, well made and very affordable. And the designer is now into mesh too (many CS participants are providing mesh items, which I totally approve of!) and her stuff is getting better and better. Featured in this post is a micro leather skirt, coming in Standard Sizing. I chose the red one, but it comes in various colors. Keep an eye on this blog for more mesh goodness from Echo!
Another store that has mesh item at CS is 22769. I don’t know what those figures stand for, but I do know that I love their ethnic-inspired collection for Culture Shock. Also, there’s some color-block releases and that is my recent (and enduring) passion.
Of course, the shoes need to be mentioned. They are a new release by Your Skin & Your Shape and are to die for! They come in two versions, with and without socks, and in a large array of colors and fabrics. I must admit that I was too lazy to try matching the prim feet, so I chose the sock version. However, along with the hud and presets for all YS & YS skin tones, you also get tintable tattoo layers for a better match (When I have more time, I promise to try the no-sock version!)
