Earlier this week, ColdLogic and Tutti Frutti released new lovely spring stuff. I made two quick looks, because I entered a new “I don’t have time” phase, so I’ll just let the photo speak. Be sure to check the credits, there’s also some interesting event stuff in there (such as the Alice Project hair) and discount items.
At least in Second Life. Especially with the new cardigan combos by ColdLogic.
Everyone must know by now that I love this brand. The designs are well made, fashionable, texturing is great. The only thing that’s really difficult about them is choice. With so many color options and such great items, picking just one is often impossible.
So for today I had to make two looks. And both are green and black. Because I love green. It’s the color of spring, to me. And I need spring.
Also, ColdLogic has a photo contest and I love contests too. And I decided to enter with both photos in today’s post because I don’t know which one to choose.
The first look features the Milano Combo in green and black. I added a pair of boots by Mina, a Pure Poison bag and a summer hat by Sacred Roses, just for the sake of spring and sunshine
The hair is Exile’s special release for My Attic and you should go get it now, while it’s L$95 per color pack.
What is the classiest, classical, timeless color combo? To me, that’s black and white. I could always pull off a B&W outfit and be suited for any event.
And when stripes are involved, I am even happier. So when I saw this new Fleshtone skirt, for SoHo Sample Sale, I needed to build an outfit around it. I used a sweater by The Secret Store, a new release as cute as everything in that store, and some B&W accessories from my inventory.
Also, I am in love with Exile’s new releases, so here’s one more hair for you:
I have a confession. I’m not fond of Valentine’s Day. Not because of its meaning (and I don’t mean the Saint Valentine one), but because of what it brings along: a horde of red and pink stuff, balloons, hearts. pom-poms, red hearts, pink balloons, violets are blue and so on.
All that makes me Tard grumpy. And some more!
I do not think that people need a special day to tell someone “I love you”, to give them presents and love notes. There’s about 365 days a year to do that. It’s the same thing as Christmas: one does not have to be a better person because of the holidays, but because he or she wants to be a better person. All year long. Otherwise, there is no point.
And with this rant behind us, I have a gorgeous wedding dress to show you! Aliza Karu, the owner of AD Creations, always comes up with unique designs and has an impressive way of mixing mesh, sculpts and flexi (and this is coming from someone who never really liked flexi!). The only downside of this dress is that it only comes in one size, so it will not fit any shape. I had to tweak Moniq’s quite a bit to make it fit.
Also, I dropped by LeLutka to check the new hair. Of the three 1920′s styles just releases, I chose Josephine. And the best part? LeLutka has naturals packs! Maybe they had it for a while already, but it’s the first time I saw them.
The skin on Moniq was a group gift by PXL Creations, but, sadly, it is gone now (I know, I should have blogged it earlier )
I felt inspired by a new prop released by Diesel Works – actually two of them, but I’m sort of not feeling very bright these days – for an almost black & white post.
Also, this was a great occasion to use the cute Noodles tiara that I won at the Arcade gacha. I’m not the pretty princess type but those were too cute not to give them a play.
If you did not visit Cinema yet, I suggest you go have a look. The build is pretty impressive and the items available there are fit for a movie star!
One of the items released for the event that I fell in love with is this hair by Alice Project. It comes with several versions (mirrored, low, high plus optional add-on braids). I was actually in need of a windy hair and there, Alice made it!
I added a comfy outfit – Miamai pants and a shirt released recently by Amarelo Manga, plus a lovely pair of pumps by The Secret Store, available at a special price for Lazy Sunday.
The skin is the latest group gift by PXL Creations. The group is not open for enrollment these days, but stay tuned, because it will open at some point and I think being a member will be worth it.
Just when I was about to swear I’m done with gachas, there’s the PXL fantasy skins one. If you can pass such a treat, let me know HOW!
I was a bit bummed cause I never got one of the naturalish looks and hey, what am I to do with fantasy skins? But then I decided I gotta think out of the box and hey, it was even funny!
First of all, I decided to play with my grayscale win and make a black and white photo in SL. So I dug in my inventory for black, white or gray stuff and, guess what, I made it! No desaurate was used in the photo!
To add a bit of drama to the photo, I made another pic, this time with my red gacha skin, and pasted it in the B&W photo. Thank god for the Exposeur shadow box – this must be one of my favorite props ever, because it had just the grayscales I needed as background!
