One of the most difficult things these days is to find a good spot for photos in SL that has no snow. Cause you know, shoes showing toes and snow? That does not work. Most of the locations that I like are wintery now and that’s great, cause the holidays are coming and all, but that makes me feel even more cold
Anyway, this post is to show you some specials and some freebies, as lots of things are happening these days – hunts, events, advent calendars, you name it.
See? That’s why I love SL: I can go ice skating in a tight mini dress and I don’t feel the cold and nobody gives me that look. Besides, I can go ice skating, which I last time din in RL about 20 years ago. I can imagine myself falling after the first step on ice
Anyway, this post is to show you some goodies available at the Arcade, which opened on December 1st and which is still jam packed. Shopping from the nearby sims is always the way, trust me!
Geeky with a twist. That’s how Moniq looks today. Also wearing gold/yellow, a rather unusual color for me in both lives. But I fell in love with those shoes by Boom available at Shoetopia (they are a donation item, so you only have until Saturday to get them), and I thought this dress was perfect for them. The dress is by Peqe for the Geeks and Nerds fair and it comes in several colors.
And to add a twist to this look, I chose a sexy hair by Exile and an equally sexy skin by The Skinnery, a brand that definitely deserves more attention from me (I am in love with this face, really!)
I needed a show-some-skin post because of the awful weather outside. I envy those of you who live in the other hemisphere right now!
Anyway, only three more days ( I think) for Shoetopia, so I want to show you you these Gos Boutique beauties, part of the new Bordello line. Someone once said that everybody takes nude photos while wearing their Gos shoes – and I must admit, it did cross my mind. But these ones made me think of clubbing, so I put on some party clothes and voila!
That is the name of the skin on Moniq, a preview of the Natasha II line by Idiosyncrasy. The skin is available at My Attic @ The Deck, for a special price, and includes breast, hand and feet appliers.
The hair is a Collabor88 item by LaViere, while the Peqe jumpsuit and je Suis clutch are recent releases.
The shoes Moniq is wearing (add-ons for SLink medium feet) are a group gift by SLink. Also free are the MayFly eyes.
As much as I hate cold, winter, and snow, some clothes and shoes make going through those worthwhile.
And while the idea of `It’s cold outside` usually makes me want to move to a warmer place, I love it as the theme of My Attic @The Deck’s new round. It’s one of my favorite events, because the line-up of creators is always great and the items come at a bargain price.
Also, Shoetopia is still up and going and, for this post, I chose a rather unusual pair of shoes by sYs – but then, their items are unusual most of the time. And yay for creativity!
The hair, jacket and poses are available at My Attic till the end of next week. I think you definitely need to check out the goodies there (and also check this blog for more items, if I manage to post them before the event ends :D).
Give a girl the right pair of shoes… and these days I found out why (most) women can’t conquer the world. There’s no such thing as the right pair of shoes. There’s the right pairs of shoes or, more precisely, there’s the right ALL the shoes!
As you probably guessed, I finally managed to get into Shoetopia. I’d definitely set my home there and navigate all day through the shoe shelves. I have yet to make most of my purchases, because there were so many beauties there and choosing only several pairs is never easy. But there’s still time to decide
Today I’m going to show you two pairs of shoes available at the event, one by Alice Project (SLink feed add-ons) and one by LaRoo (with easy matching hud).
Plus other releases by some of my favorite brands – and one thing I want to mention is this new hairstyle by Exile that is almost similar to my new RL haircut (hell yeah, I did it :D).
I’m developing this habit of dressing up my avatar and keeping her in the same outfit for weeks. If Moniq was alive, she’d be so pissed off, she’d find another human to control her
So, long story short: the skin on Moniq is by La Petite Morte and is available at Enchantment. The Ison dress was a Collabor88 item, so by now I guess you can find it in the store. The hair is a recent release by Exile.
Logging on WordPress afer a long, long time (yeah, my latest notifications are 38 days old) is, sort of, like coming back home.
It’s been some good 38 days, filled with work, family meetings, love, disturbing news, vacation, more work, shopping… just like any other 38 days recently.
Except for the shopping part. I stormed RL stores as if I was in SL and spent my real money just as recklessly. That, my friends, means I need to seriously get back to blogging or I’ll go banckrupt again
And this gets me to the point. I have two looks for you in this post, you probably know the items already, because most of them are not that new and have been blogged already, but hey, I’m here with a personal touch, so I hope you like these outfits. Continue reading »
