So… when your PC is going a total makeover and you want to take some photos, you have to work with what is available. That means: borrowed computer, new viewer, no windlights, no editing software. What happened? This:
Not my favorite month of the year, but this is the name of La Petite Morte’s new skin. To me, making skins seems the most difficult task of the entire content creation in SL. I may be wrong, of course, but I am so amazed when someone starts making skins and they come up great. This is the case for December, so I’m happy to show it to you. But let’s start with today’s look, because I made Moniq elegant using Vintage Fair and mesh items:
For all you people who complain that you don’t have snow and all that: IT’S DAMN FREEZING HERE! No snow yet, but that would only make things worse. Meanwhile, here’s a pretty (almost) vintage look in an autumn decor, maybe this will make me feel warmer
I couldn’t pass on Gogo’s new style challenge for newbies. This time the spending limit was raised to L$550, the minimum amount that can be purchased, to make newbs spend some cash. It was very difficult to stay in that amount, I must admit, and I took me a lot of time running around to low-price stores, discount events and browsing marketplace and feeds, but in the end, I came up with a new look, from lashes to toes. The only thing I kept was the shape.
When I bought these Ricielli high-waist pants, during the sale earlier this week, I had in mind a business look. That’s not a usual outfit for me or for Moniq. I use business suits for work stuff now and then, but I always need to wear something that’s contrasting with the serious office worker look. So I decided that Moniq should not be the average businesswoman. Unless businesswomen spend their time seducing their business partners
While I spend my SL on 2.7, because it’s very fast and reliable and actually has shadows, I sometimes use 3.0, thought it’s slow and crashy, because of mesh. These shoes by Alice Project, available in the Screaming for Fall hunt, were a reason to go mesh. They also come with a sculptie version, but I kinda love mesh better. For L$10, you get 5 pairs of sculpted shoes and 5 pairs of mesh shoes, in autumn colors. All you need to do is find a pumpkin at the store.
So… weekend’s over and I didn’t get to post all my color challenge stuff. Anyway, here’s electric blue and that get’s me (almost) up top date with Luna’s challenge.
I had a great weekend, which means I missed out a lot on SL. I missed the Chic sim opening, the special Amelie skin by Glam Affair, I missed FLF and TOSL and other weekly events. I will try to catch up. At some point. I’m no longer making promises though.
So here’s Electric Blue, the short story: Moniq is wearing a lovely group gift by Glam Affair, the Independence Day version of Layla, the cutest jump suit by LeLutka, W&Y hair for Hair Fair, and a delicate necklace by Magoa for Fashionably Late, a weekly discount event with exclusive creations happening on the Chic sim.
Oh, and that shadow is fake, too

One more color challenge post, as I try to catch up with the weekly themes. Not an easy task, since RL is getting hectic sometimes and I’m out of town most weekends. But I’m trying hard
I hope you had a lovely weekend, cause mine was great, though it meant no time to blog. But a new week just started and here I am again with a cute casual look for you – and made of good deals, cause I’m on a budget these days:D.
