I was wearing this stunning gown by Amarelo Manga as I tried the new Rock poses by HelaMiyo. And, well, I loved the look. See for yourselves:
In my case, that’s “a lot of pairs of shoes”, to be honest. I’m a hoarder in both lives. Shoes and purses make my day. And I’m sure I’m part of a big club of ladies who feel like life is about shoes. And more shoes!
Like many other SL fashionistas, I waited impatiently for Gos to release new shoes. And then waited even more impatiently to finish my working weekend, so I can log in and get them. As usual, they are up to all expectations. Or even more. They are elegant, sexy, and, most of all, so easy to match to the skin! With that kind of shoes, one can definitely conquer the world!
Also, Akeruka has some new releases: Manuela, Twiggy and Meg V2 in a summer edition. The chocolate tone is perfect for a beach look. Moniq is not wearing a bikini today, but I took her to a marina to show you the lovely Twiggy in chocolate.
Not much of a SEO headline there, but I honestly have no idea how to call this post. And if we cleared that part, let’s move on to today’s look.
The 100 Block event is open and there’s a lot of great stuff that you can get there. For today’s outfit, I chose a lovely dress by DCNY to show you, and I added this hair with hat, new by Tameless.
The skin is a special edition of Fake’s Sara, available at the SL FAshion Week, and the bag is a hunt prize at Ricielli.
Do you remember Baywatch? Hot girls, even hotter guys (or that’s what I thought 20 years ago) and a careless, endless summer. After playing dress-up for, like, hours, I ended up with this outfit for Moniq that reminds me of Baywatch. Blonde hair, tanned skin, pouty lips and an almost-dress. Al she needs is a red swimsuit now
Moniq is wearing the Sadie hybrid mesh avatar (minus the shape, because I rarely give up mine) in the Cocoa tone. Tameless released new hairs and I wanted to show you Katarina, because it works great with this look.
The dress is a gift by M*Motion (found it while browsing the Secondlife 24h blog) and I love it because of its vacation look.
A flash 48 hour sale just started at PXL. It’s the latest skin line, Sophia, that’s set to a 25% percent discount for the VIP group members. If you don’t have that group, I’d suggest you join it, because of the great gifts and discount opportunities such as this one.
And to give you one more reason to visit PXL, the brand recently released appliers for SLink mesh hands and feet. And it just happens that SLink has some gorgeous new add-ons for mesh feet at the store. Just think about it! Matching your feet with the skin in just one click. SL is becoming to look like heaven to me! (you need an update to your old mesh hands and feet to use the appliers though. You can get them at the redelivery terminal at SLink).
And the first minute of my weekend too! For today’s post, I chose Cupcakes, one of the first skin brands that I became acquainted with as a noob. The brand has a new release at The Skin Fair 2013, Emmy, worth checking out.
Also, more good news. The Neva River sim is open again and is even prettier than it used to be, it’s perfect for SL photos. Plus, Valentina E. sent out a cute dress as a subscriber gift.
Also, Adore & Abhor has a set of holdable lambies and sheepies for FLF and for Zodiac, so if you like cute stuff, go and grab yours.
Yesterday was a weird day for me. I felt bored, lazy and uninspired. I spent my time sitting alone on my platform (ok, I generally spend time alone on my platform), with no desire to think of a pretty setting or look for a beautiful sim for photos.
We can call this “A day in the life of…” post, in a series that, so far, begins and ends with Moniq. I have my own reality, show, only without cameras But to be closer to the truth, I’m having a blogger block, so I’d better call it “One of those days”….
And for today, you get a raw photo of Moniq (I didn’t even remove the grid lines) in a pretty outfit, just sitting on her platform. At least my AO has some pretty seats!
The mirror obsession is still haunting me, it seems. This time, I even tried a portrait. Though it’s a lot harder to work with water and I’m spending a lot more time on setting the scene for photos (and I thought that hopping around the grid for good locations was hard!), I’m still passionate about the mirror effect. Maybe one day my photos will even be amazing! (though I’m sure that, by that time, I will be called “the crazy mirror blogger”).
Anyway, there’s more interesting stuff to be told than my photography struggles. A new cycle of FaMESHed starts tomorrow and The Secret Store has a lovely little dress there. It comes in several color and color mixes, so you can surely find one to suit your taste. What I love most about it is the retro feel. (And yes, it’s very short too!)
I chose black because I wanted to wear it with this hair by Tameless, which also has a retro touch. And also a fierce touch, because hey, animal print! I added a pair of pumps by Fanatik that are currently available as group gift and a little bag by Pure Poison. That was the easy part. Five props and a dozen of windlights later, here’s what came out:
The first day of 2013 was shitty. My graphics card died on me, just when I was about to get in the power blogging mood. I was looking forward to more than a week of lazy vacation and stuff and my card just decided to go down without a warning. I spent two days playing silly games on the old Mac and reading. And yesterday, when 2013 became a great year (yes, that’s what a brand new graphics card can do) … well… I just wasn’t in the mood for SL. Ironic, right?
Anyway, today I got my groove back and spent half a day collecting great gifts and treating myself with stuff that I wanted to get for some time now. Such as shoes and purses. Best treat in both lives!
