Quick post to show you two looks that I made using some new releases and discount event items. Plus some gifts!
See? That’s why I love SL: I can go ice skating in a tight mini dress and I don’t feel the cold and nobody gives me that look. Besides, I can go ice skating, which I last time din in RL about 20 years ago. I can imagine myself falling after the first step on ice :D
Anyway, this post is to show you some goodies available at the Arcade, which opened on December 1st and which is still jam packed. Shopping from the nearby sims is always the way, trust me!
Geeky with a twist. That’s how Moniq looks today. Also wearing gold/yellow, a rather unusual color for me in both lives. But I fell in love with those shoes by Boom available at Shoetopia (they are a donation item, so you only have until Saturday to get them), and I thought this dress was perfect for them. The dress is by Peqe for the Geeks and Nerds fair and it comes in several colors.
And to add a twist to this look, I chose a sexy hair by Exile and an equally sexy skin by The Skinnery, a brand that definitely deserves more attention from me (I am in love with this face, really!)
Give a girl the right pair of shoes… and these days I found out why (most) women can’t conquer the world. There’s no such thing as the right pair of shoes. There’s the right pairs of shoes or, more precisely, there’s the right ALL the shoes!
As you probably guessed, I finally managed to get into Shoetopia. I’d definitely set my home there and navigate all day through the shoe shelves. I have yet to make most of my purchases, because there were so many beauties there and choosing only several pairs is never easy. But there’s still time to decide :)
Today I’m going to show you two pairs of shoes available at the event, one by Alice Project (SLink feed add-ons) and one by LaRoo (with easy matching hud).
Plus other releases by some of my favorite brands – and one thing I want to mention is this new hairstyle by Exile that is almost similar to my new RL haircut (hell yeah, I did it :D).
I’m developing this habit of dressing up my avatar and keeping her in the same outfit for weeks. If Moniq was alive, she’d be so pissed off, she’d find another human to control her :D
So, long story short: the skin on Moniq is by La Petite Morte and is available at Enchantment. The Ison dress was a Collabor88 item, so by now I guess you can find it in the store. The hair is a recent release by Exile.
Long time no blog! I am happy to say though that I had a good RL time. Anyway, I’m going to keep it short and show you some of the good things that piled up in my inventory while I was on vacation.
Also, I am pretty happy about these photos, so I hope you like them too.
Finally, my first rough days at work are over and I’m here to show you some more reasons to visit Hair Fair.
As you probably know by now, Exile is one of my favorite brands in SL and has been so for years. And for this edition of Hair Fair, the brand’s owner came with four amazing hair styles for ladies and one of for the gents.
If you love long hair, you’ll definitely find one for you if you go to Exile’s booth at the event.
I think this one’s my favorite, though it’s a tough call, because I love them all.
I guess I miss travelling. With my job change and the new schedule, I was home bound for the last couple of months. I am planning a short trip soon, but meanwhile, I took my avatar to the Inaka train station with some suitcases. She can teleport anywhere, after all.
What you need to notice about her look: the lovely dress by ColdLogic, part of a bunch of new releases – tops, shorts, dresses, all designed for a warm, but comfy summer.
The Exile hair: it’s a big updo, elaborate but not too festive, so you can wear it with a day to day outfit too. It’s available at My Attic for a special price, so run there before the event ends.
The Belgravia shoes. These are add-ons for SLink feet and are part of a new market that’s taking SL by storm. I for one, love the add-on trend, since I am a proud owner of SLink feet. And I wish more shoe-gods who have amazing feet release kits for designers, so we can have pretty add-ons for them too!
Brandy is a fancy jewelry set released by Pure Poison for this round of L’Accessoires. You have to admit it, the set is quite spectacular. Plus, it comes in several color options, so you can use it to create a stunning look.
The brand owner decided to have a contest for the blogger group, which I am proudly part of, and when I hear about a photo contest I just have to jump in, whether I have chance to win or not.
It was also the perfect opportunity to blog this gown by Aliza Karu, which, like most of her outfits, is a piece of art in itself. I am always amazed how this designer can mix mesh and flexi and make amazing textures for her creations. The downside is, as usual, the dress comes in one size only, but then again, as usual, it just fits my shape.
Now this outfit can only make one want to take the most amazing photo ever. While I am not the best photographer in SL, I did my best. I hope you like the outcome!
Ok, I’m a bit ahead of the times with that headline, but I kind of wish it was midsummer. I hope that by that time I am all settled with my new job, my new schedule and everything.
Meanwhile, I am neglecting my Second Life, so my avatar spends days and days wearing the same outfit. Take this look: I put the skin (YS&YS group gift), hair (latest release by Exile), necklace (Pure Poison) and shoes (Arcade goodie) on Moniq almost one week ago, then changed the dress after the ColdLogic release, some time this week, and I finally got to take a photo and edit it a couple of hours ago.
I’m sure you have already seen these items for days on all the feeds. But I hope you will see my outfit as a new take on them and like it. I, for one, liked it enough to keep everything on, although the SL fashion scene is the illustration of the RL consumption-based economy on fast-forward. But sometimes it’s just good to take a deep breath and rest a bit :)
And before we go to the credits, there’s something I need to mention. Status Poses rebranded to Pretense and came back inworld with a new mainstore. I know that poses are sometimes forgotten or only get a mention here and there, while we brag about our outfits or skins or hair. But imagine a SL photo without a pose. Can you? No? I thought so!
