I don’t take any responsibility for this post. I was forced to watch Gladiator. AGAIN. So I found this amazing location with Terracotta soldiers, I put on a matching skin (Red Mint limited group gift) and a dress by Aliza Karu, always unusual and stunning, and I called my troops for war.
Amazingly enough, a playful pose by Exposeur (L$50 and 50% off sale) suited the concept beautifully, so here’s Moniq, the Great Commander of the Virtual Legions!
Did you check the latest mesh releases at Boom? Well, you should, because those must be the hottest dresses in SL right now. Plus they come in more than 40 colors, which is quite amazing!
Also, Monday Mania organisers and participating stores are celebrating the 100th edition with gifts for group members. Just check this Calico hair! It comes in fatpack too, plus hairbases included.
Oh, the spring! Great weather, sunshine, new wardrobe. Life is fun again!
Obviously, that means less time for SL for me. So I’m late at showing you this gorgeous group gift by Maitreya. But hey, maybe there is someone who still needs to find out about it!
I’m happy about this week’s color challenge, because green is always the first choice in colors for me. Also, I love how this photo turned out – it was actually a windlight accident, but I thought I’d take the snapshot and show it to you. If you want to actually see the outfit, here’s a second version on Flickr.
I was not expecting such a design from ColdLogic, because they were more on the “cute girl next door” side so far. But who doesn’t love a sexy short dress? I, for one, am a fan of the new dresses, because they fit so well on Moniq’s shape! Yes, her big bootie is sometimes a problem when it comes to mesh, but with this dress, I had no issue!
I’m in a weird color mood again, so what you get today is green and lavender together. And you know what? This combo is total win!
Also, if you didn’t get a chance to visit My Attic event at the Deck, you totally should! Lots of 50’s and 60’s items, all priced L$95, from some amazing designers (I’ll only name a few, so you understand what I mean: DCNY, Maitreya, Mina, Adorkable Poses). More about them in my coming posts, because today I decided to feature Exile and Idiosyncrasy, two brands that I love and that have exquisite items at the event.
Also, Moniq is wearing a cute ColdLogic spring dress (the brand also released some smoking hot stuff, so stay tuned for some smexy photos) and a lovely pair of G Field mesh booties – yes, I was in the mood for green! To give the outfit a twist I chose a pair of Red Tape purple leggings (Red Tape is the new store of Liess Paine, the former Khush owner) and a bag that I snatched from a Dressing Room collection a while ago.
A skin with almost chapped lips, no makeup and a ton of freckles? Not really! Or maybe…
Actually, I fell in love with this skin that it’s not very “me”. I was hopping around the grid to do a bit of hunting and I came across this store called “The Skin You’re In” and tried their hunt prize on. And guess what! I’m not taking it off. Not. I love this face! I admit I didn’t even check the body, but then again, Moniq is always wearing lots of stuff!
And speaking of that, I really want you to see this dress. It’s elegant, sophisticated and sexy. And you’d not expect to see a skin like that matched with a dress like this. But I love contrasts!
The dress is Zenith’s item for this round of Limited Couture. Only 100 items will be sold and then it’s gone! The skirt is mesh, so it gives you a more natural look when walking and sitting. The outfit also includes a bag, but I decided to go for some green instead
