I was wearing this stunning gown by Amarelo Manga as I tried the new Rock poses by HelaMiyo. And, well, I loved the look. See for yourselves:
The Pose Fair 2013 will soon open with dozens of designers and lots of new props and poses. For a blogger or a photographer, that’s like heaven. We all talk about skins, hair, clothes or accessories, but in the end, what can make or break a photo is the pose.
I am a pose collector. I have thousands and, while I do inventory cleaning from time to time, to keep it below the crash limit, I never touch the Animations folder. I have stuff from 2009 in there and many of the poses are unused for years. But I just can’t bring myself to delete them.
This Pose Fair is an event that you’ll love, if you are a props & poses fan. There are amazing brands there, also there are newer brands that are worth visiting, with modelling, casual, family, friends, couple poses, dances, AOs and whatever else you can imagine.
For today, I chose a pose by Exposeur, which is part of a collaboration with HandVerk. It’s a series of umbrella poses, from romantic to pin-up, and a set of umbrellas, from girly colors to elegant male patterns.
Also, another event that you should check out is the SoHo Sample sale, another discount room with items from various designers. Today, Moniq is wearing a dress by Fleshtone and shoes & clutch by Amarelo Manga.
A black and white outfit for today. Again. I think it’s a color mix that never fails. And of course, I had to add a shade of green.
This look is a mix of items from several events. Some stuff is available at FaMESHed, other items are gacha prizes at the Arcade, the poses are available for a special price at Shop Free*Style. I feel overwhelmed by the number of events that started this week – and by the huge amount of lovely items. Narrowing them down to a single look (for now) was an incredible challenge.
Also, I have to mention this bag – I think it’s the largest handbag that I have seen in SL. I love it. It’s so much like my RL ones, because I’m that girl who carries her laptop in her purse. And for that, a huge purse is needed.
Here’s the result of today’s inventory episode in the never-ending “Moniq needs more stuff” series :
After months of teasin us on Plurk, Jin Elfan, designer and owner of Leverocci, finally released Cara, a skin that I loved at first sight. You get the base skin in your tone of choice, and get a shape and two pairs of lashes in the pack, plus several brow options, and you can buy separately lipsticks, eye shadow, freckles, cleavage and whatever else will cross your mind, it’s all there.
And thanks to Cara, I managed to leave my blogger’s block behind me, at least for a while, to show you some cute stuff that I snatched around the grid lately.
Ohai, I’m as pale as Moniq in this post. Luckily, pixel ladies can’t catch a cold. Luckily for her, I mean, cause I’m not made of pixels 😀
Anyway, enough whining for today. Or maybe not. Let’s whine about how addictive gatchas are and how fast one can get broke at a gatcha event.
This kinda happened to me today, because I knocked myself out at the Arcade gatcha event and, though I’m whining about how my balance is totally imbalanced, I;m happy for the great things that ended up in my inventory.
One of them is this lovely Roza skin by Glam Affair and another one that I love is the H.O.F. clutch that, luckily enough, was a perfect match for my outfit from the first try!
Leverocci, one of my favorite apparel brands in SL, moved to a new sim called Mode. The build, all mesh, is pretty amazing and so are the new releases (stay tuned, some will be blogged here soon). Also, there was an opening party – which I missed – and a gift sent to subscribers, which Moniq is wearing in this post. The photos are taken on the Mode sim.
Moniq is usually blonde in SL and a mix of brown, blonde and grey in RL. However, I have a weakness for red hair in both lives. And some hair makers have the loveliest reds. Two of those are Clawtooth and Lelutka. Most of the hair I bought from those two stores is red. And there’s a third one coming up – Leverocci. I bought the essentials pack (I love designers who have those!), but I fell in love with the decadent red!
If you read my previous post, you probably expect to see more FaMESHed on this blog. And guess what! Here’s another look made by mixing and matching items from the venue! Today we have more E! Eclectic Apparel (the Mayu top, which is probably my favorite top name in SL so far) and more Exile (isn’t that hair amazing?), plus these lovely pants by Boom that I definitely want in RL.
That’s true, Je Suis turns two this month and there’s celebration coming up! First, there’s a photo contest (details here) and you still have time to enter (ok, one day, but that is still something!), and on the 23rd there’s going to be a party with music and gifts and lots of fun.
Also, if you don’t have Je Suis accessories to wear for your photo contest entry, there’s also a sale at the store!
So happy anniversary, Je Suis, I hope to see you on the grid for the 10th anniversary too!
