I’m talking about love for shoes, obviously. LaRoo released these amazing stilettos and I’m wearing them for days now! Ok, one of the reasons is that I had no time to blog them, but still, I don’t want to take them off!
And because who knows when I can blog again, I made two looks for this post, with some new releases, some gifts and… guess what shoes I am wearing?
Also, LaRoo has a photo contest to celebrate one year on the grid, so scroll down for details on how to enter!

inSee? That’s why I love SL: I can go ice skating in a tight mini dress and I don’t feel the cold and nobody gives me that look. Besides, I can go ice skating, which I last time din in RL about 20 years ago. I can imagine myself falling after the first step on ice 😀
Anyway, this post is to show you some goodies available at the Arcade, which opened on December 1st and which is still jam packed. Shopping from the nearby sims is always the way, trust me!

inIn this post, Moniq is wearing probably the most beautiful dress that I have seen in my SLife. I suppose many bloggers loved it too, since it’s on all the feeds. But hey, how can one miss so much pretty?
The dress is a new release by The Secret Store for the Collabor88 anniversary edition and you can choose from several colors and two patterns. This is a totally must-have, believe me!
Also from Collabor88 I got the Ingenue shoes (add-ons for SL feet), the Baiastice necklace and the Cae earrings.

Long time no see 🙂 And since Moniq is wearing these shoes for almost a week, it’s about time that I blog them too, right?
The shoes with knee-high socks are LaRoo’s item for FaMESHed. They come in several colors and there’s a HUD to change the sock color.
The lovely top is by The Secret Store and is available at Collabor88. The skin was a FLF special by The Plastik, and, though RL called me throughout the weekend and I couldn’t blog it in time, I really wanted to show it to you because it’s so beautiful.

One thing I always admire is the way that people come together to help. And that’s one thing that I love about SL. We help our own. And others who are in need. We rallied for the Japan tsunami victims, people and pets, for the Haiti flood victims, for a resident’s surgery, for another resident’s legal battle, for another resident’s pet. We support causes, we donate to those that we believe in, the way each of us can: creators donate their items, on which they spent precious RL time, bloggers donate their time and photography/writing skills, and all of us, designers, bloggers and shoppers donate lindens.
Have there been attempts to scam? Yes, there have, and they have been uncovered. Was there drama? Yes, there was, but events went along and reached their goals. But most fundraisers were organized in good faith, and more residents supported them than those who criticized them.
Some may object that health issues are more important than a new computer. Maybe. But giving back is also important. And when it comes to giving back to one of the nicest and most generous creators in SL, I’M IN. All caps.
Amesha Jewell, the owner and creator of Aeva skins (and if you don’t know Aeva, you probably do know Heartsick and Burning Chrome)Â can’t keep creating unless she buys a new computer. Which she can’t afford, due to health reasons. So her friends set up a fundraiser to help her get a new PC. And to keep bringing us the lovely Aeva skins.
You know what I’d love? To have more events like this. To help more creators upgrade their PCs, to keep creating stuff for us. It’s about giving back. The items we buy are generally worth more than the lindens they charge for, because they spend RL time on them, and look for inspiration, and get frustrated when something doesn’t come out right, and then try again, all for our enjoyment.
More than 40 designers are involved in the Aeva/Heartsick fundraiser, so I’m sure you’re going to find something to suit your taste, and most of them sold at very affordable prices. I found several, to be honest!
Today, I am going to show you this Sakide dress (it comes in three versions). I added this gorgeous blazer by The Secret Store, to be released for FaMEShed (starts on the 1st May).
The skin on Moniq is by Aeva, and the hair is by another long time favorite of mine, Exile. The bag is by JD and is available at the Dressing Room Fusion.

Unbelievable, right? I’ve been doing this for three years and I still love it! I never thought I’d keep this blog that long, after all I usually get bored of things. But this little blog kept me going, when I was down, because hey, a little dress-up and hairstyling can do wonders, even if they are pixels only. It saved me from bankruptcy because virtual compulsive shopping is a lot cheaper than RL compulsive shopping.
It helped me meet wonderful people, though I am still stuck on my platform, most of the time, and it helped me discover solidarity, the power of friendship and the big-mostly-happy-family that Second Life can be.
This blog is my baby and I’m proud of it, though I know I don’t have the skills or the fashion flair of some incredibly talented bloggers and photographers. It’s been three years and I have gone so far, I have improved and somehow grew along. And guess what! I still feel like a new kid on the block.

As I promised, this post was made to showcase the new Aeva skins. In fact, I only chose two faces of the four released, but I hope you’ll forgive me for that.
Also, this is the last day for Pose Fair 2013, so if there’s something that you wanted to have, but postponed to purchase, maybe this is the best time to visit the event, before it’s over.
Plus, I know I’m late posting this, but I had to blog this little piece from The Secret Store. It was a special for Fifty Linden Friday, but I hope it will soon be released in full version.
last, but not least, Moniq has new hot wedges and they are almost free too! Check the credits to see where you can get them.

I’m back with two looks made with items available at FaMESHed plus some pretty gifts that I collected these days. Also, Pose Fair is still up and going, so I used a friends pose by EverGlow.
I went to Kittens Heaven, the new island by fellow blogger Isabelli Anatine, to snap a photo of my two outfits.
Check the credits after the photo to find out where to get these goodies:

There is only one thing better than a sim full of new skins: TWO sims full of new skins, make-ups, shapes, hybrid avatars, you name it.
The Skin Fair 2013 is about to open with dozens of creators displaying their new releases. It’s an event that you just can’t miss. The event opens on the 15th and many designers are still setting up, but what I have seen so far it’s … well… better than Christmas!
To start The Skin Fair blogging in style, I chose for this post the new skin by Izzie’s, Asia, that will be available at the event.
Asia comes in 6 tones, with various brow options and cleavage/non cleavage option. Plus, you get a shape, 6 lipsticks, 6 eyeshadows and three eyeliners on tattoo layers in each tone pack. A base for prim nails is also included.
I needed to fight the gloomy weather outside with a warm spring look photo, so here’s what I did with Asia:
